Philanthropy · HealthFree Medical Outreach at Ijora and Apapa by Team Ladipo Johnson
Hundreds of residents of Ijora and Apapa received free consultations, screening and medication as Team Ladipo Johnson took healthcare directly to the doorstep of the community.
Health is not a luxury; it is the first infrastructure of a working society. Over two days, Team Ladipo Johnson pitched tents in Ijora and Apapa and opened the doors to every resident who walked in — no forms, no fees, no questions about party or persuasion.
Volunteer doctors, nurses and pharmacists ran open-air consulting desks: blood pressure checks, blood sugar screening, malaria and typhoid testing, eye examinations for the elderly, and antenatal counselling for expectant mothers. Prescriptions were filled on the spot from a stocked pharmacy table, entirely free of charge.
